Box is designed to work just like your operating system, so file management is easy.

In your Box account, you can organize your files in folders just as you would on your computer. To create a new folder, click the “New Folder” button in the upper-right.

To move a file, simply drag it from its current location and drop it in the folder you would like to put it in, just as you would with a file on your hard drive. You can also right-click on the file and select “Move/Copy”, then designate the location (folder) you would like to move the file to.

To download a file, simply right-click on the file (or click on the little blue box with the white downward arrow). A list of options will appear; select “Download”. This will start the download process.

To delete a file, right-click on the file (or click on the little blue box with the white downward arrow). A list of options will appear; select “Delete”. A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm that you would like the file deleted. If you click “yes”, the file will be deleted from your Box.

To search for a file, click on “Search” (the rightmost option just above your list of files). A search box will appear. Enter all or part of the name of the file you are searching for, and the search will return any files in your Box containing that text in their names.
