What are Box Services?
Box services are web applications and services that Box users can access with a single click, directly from their Box account. Free and available to all Box users, they are powered by OpenBox, an open platform that connects data from Box.net with other applications and services across the web.
What OpenBox Services are available?
An overview of the OpenBox services currently available can be found here.
How do I use an OpenBox Service?
To use an OpenBox Service, you must first enable it for your account. You can enable services at any time from the 'Services' tab.
How do I add an OpenBox Service to my account?
There are two ways to add an OpenBox Service:
1. Click 'Browse Services'. Once you find the service you would like to add, click the 'Add Service' button. A pop-up will ask you to confirm; click 'OK', and the service will be added.
2. Right-click on any file in your Box. At the bottom of the pop-up menu, choose 'Add services'. This will take you to the services overview page. Once you find the service you would like to add, click the 'Add Service' button. A pop-up will ask you to confirm; click 'OK', and the service will be added.

Once I've added a service, how do I use it to work with one of my files?
To use an OpenBox Service, right-click on the file you would like to work with. All of the services you have added that are compatible with this specific file type will appear at the bottom of your menu of actions. Select the service you would like to use, and click on it. A pop-up window will appear, asking for details about the file and service you are accessing. Enter the appropriate information and click 'OK', and you will be taken to the service's site.
Will these services affect my files?
If you make changes to your files using one of these services (e.g. edit a photo with Picnik), you can choose whether your edited version will be saved as a new file in your Box or overwrite your existing file. This choice is made in the pop-up window that appears when you select the service you would like to use with a particular file. (Note: Some services, such as document editing, will not give you this option). When you are not actively using them, the services will not access or affect your files in any way.
The service I'm trying to use isn't working. What do I do?
